been trucking to get through this work week because it's my weekend off this weekend AND it's my birthday this coming monday. therefore - PARTAYYYYY.  obviously, i should wear my birthday suit (harharhar) for the occasion.

and what better way to complete any outfit than a bowtie made to look like pasta? the acrylic clip-on by japanese design label microworks is adorable and comes in a bunch of fun colors. there are conveniently five colors to choose from which means big bang should probably wear them in their next MV. just sayin'...

despite the alka selzer version of nyquil last night, i'm still feeling kinda sick. but at least i don't have work for another hour and a half. so i'm sitting here watching how i met your mother and thinking about what to eat for breakfast/lunch. french toast? oatmeal? eggs & tempeh bacon? the possibilities are endless.

it's january but the weather still hasn't made up its mind which season it wants to be. rainy in the high 50s one day, sunny and 28 the next, snowing and 30 another day. i don't even know what i'm supposed to be wearing half the time w/ the weather all crazy like this!

makes me long for a warm early spring day, foggy mornings and golden rays of sunlight peeking through the trees. when it's still sorta cool out and the air has a blue tinge to it almost. which is probably why i've been attracted to lots of blue/yellow art/design pieces lately. so i gathered them up and put em here for you~

ok so i haven't blogged in a REALLY long time. working retail + holiday season = walking zombie sahar. soOo! sorry bout that devoted readers! but now that the holiday season is over (for the most part) and it's the NEW YEAR, i'm here with a new entry - finally.

spent new year's eve at my big brutha howie's house. me and jen unnz picked up butterscotch vodka, apple juice, and vodka-infused whipped cream. oh the alcoholic butterbeer-ness of it all. hahaha but seriously it was delicious. idea totally stolen from shaundawg.

just had a FEAST at cuba de ayer with ita-ita. which reminds me, i must write a yelp review on them. ita-ita and i go there on catch-up-dates every few weeks/months and get the same things: yuca frita, ropa vieja, masitas de puerco, flan, tres leches, cafe con leche. ALWAYS. today we did mojitos but when we don't do that, i do jupina. m'mm.

anyway i'm stuffed and i just wanna sit around like a blob and crochet some scarves. i'm getting really nervous that i won't finish them in time for xmas. cus its TWO WEEKS AWAY (WHAAAT). so this entry is gonna be short, sweet, and wondrous. like tres leches.

been loving this necklace by cat rabbit for a long while (since may 5th no joke). but just today saw the adorable "menagerie" of plushies too. is it wrong that i'm blogging about plushies two days in a row? I DONT CARE. cus i'm five.

[ the harbinger co. ] funny face ring

sorry for the no blog entry yesterday. i'm sick, randomly. on tuesday, i was working 1-930 and around 7 i started feeling SUPER crappy. all of a sudden, too. sore throat, entire body was aching (even my skin), fever, chills. i went home and did the neti pot, ate 신라면 (shin ramyun), drank 보리차 (bori cha), and took nyquil. woke up yesterday with a sore-ish throat but mostly felt better otherwise. and this morning, only the right side of my throat hurts(?!) so i'm trying to rest up. laying in bed w/ my crochet needle and some yarn. working on my fourth scarf! which reminds me, i need to go to joanne fabrics and pick up another roll of yarn for this one scarf i'm making. it's really wide and its for richie rich who has the longest torso ever so i wanna make sure its the right length. hahaha.

anywho, something funny and cute to share today. i SO want the funny face ring about by the harbinger co. and they have other versions of glasses rings too. but man oh man, the funny face one is the bestest. TOO awesome <3

I WANT THIS RING SO BAD. so if anyone's looking for an awesome xmas gift for me and wants me to love them forever. GET ME THIS. or i guess i can jus save money and get it for myself. but seriously. i've been looking for a cool gun ring ever since i found this one by ted noten & sam abbott (which wasn't for sale anywhere as far as i could tell). and this gun ring is COOL. and its pink. though i could go for black too. but the pink is the perfect shade... just like my ice cream phone.

another cool tidbit about the designer: she's iranian (like me) and instead of doing the usual law school/med school route that most iranians take, she decided to go with studying design (like me). VERY COOL & KUDOS to her!~

natalia gomensoro is the brains behind metalnat, a jewelry brand she came up with because she couldn't find any jewelry she'd like to wear herself. drawing on her design and architecture background, she applies a latin american silversmithing technique to her work, which comes off very industrial.

if i got this ring (WHICH I WANT), i'd probably set it to some very different four letter words. i mean, you know me. but besides various curse words, i'd probably also wanna set it to "rawr" and "weeh" and silly things like that too. this ring is so versatile!
