tomorrow's valentine's day. which doesn't really mean anything to me romantically. my valentines are my mom and jen unnz hahaha. but even so, i've been saving this short film by james w. griffiths to share on (or, well, right before) the day of love. it's so well-shot and well-edited! and it won the nokia shorts competition in 2011. can you believe this entire video was shot on a nokia n8 mobile phone?! crazy awesome.

i saw this on nasim/shishini's facebook and WOW. it's so.... different. the short is a representation of a daydream of director arev manoukian's. the description?

nuit blanche explores a fleeting moment between two strangers, revealing their brief connection in a hyper real fantasy.

i love the way this turned out. it's beautiful, confusing, disturbing, romantic. it's a wonderfully accurate depiction of the intricacies of eye contact between two people who don't know one another. chemistry transcends logic.
