SO! get ready to see some delightfully simple, clean, and happy triangles. the weather's nice out and i don't have work, so i'm in quite the good mood, as you can see.

[ nan lawson ] costumed kid

remember the leg bones leggings by black milk (that i am STILL lusting over btw)? this illustration by nan lawson reminds me of that. except... this is a kid in a skeleton costume... whereas the leggings are more of a daring fashion statement. either way, yay for skeletons!

and hey, if you take those leggings and boa's skeleton hoodie from her eat you up MV, you could look like this lil guy right here!

[ 6 picks ] stripey

when i first moved into this house 5 years ago, i was not a happy camper. i was a high school senior, but moving to a different county. luckily, i didn't have to switch schools but i still had to "commute" up 29 (our local highway). and what should've been a 20min drive always became closer 40 because of traffic. and oh, how i LOATHE traffic.

the day we moved in, to make myself feel better (and to avoid going nuts), i painted my room. it was this hideously tacky green. i don't even know how to describe what kind of green. but trust me it was bad. so i went to home depot and picked out my paints. all the walls are an offwhite leaning towards pink except for one wall, which i painted in mango and a-bit-darker-than-bubblegum pink stripes. yummz.

for my 6 picks today, i've compiled six stripey goodies for you~ woohoo!

[ isabella baudelaire ] mary poppins shadow puppet

mary poppins | lasercut shadow puppet

yesterday, while i was getting ready to go to nev's grad partay, amberita came over and kept me company. and nanny mcphee was playing on abc family and i made her watch it cus it's one of those simple, aesthetically childish, fun movies. it's just a really cute kids movie... sorta mary poppins-like, in that this magical nanny comes in and helps the kids become awesome. i love kid's movies sometimes haha. plus colin firth and emma thompson = yayyy!

these lasercut shadow puppets by isabella baudelaire are adorable. fairytales and children's stories galore! too precious!

clockwise from top left: fortune teller, morskoi tsar, a dream steamboat, the little prince, guardian of springtime, thumbelina.
