turn away | acrylic, graphite on canvas
kim gaul has some really fun and interesting work in her portfolio. she explores various facets of pscyhology in her work. in her mary's lamb series, she focuses on co-dependence and abandonment stemming from when mary leaves her little lamb. it's an interesting approach - and more so because her imagery is often based on childhood objects, stories, and drawings.
