[ guillaume jolicoeur ] self portrait series

i had a dream last night that i went to a restaurant and ate 산낙지 (ssan nak ji) - or live octopus. i've had it before, two years ago when i came to korea for the first time. but i haven't had it since then! it's pretty delicious, even though it's all squirmy/movey in your mouth. the key is to just keep chewing so it doesn't suction onto your teeth or the inside of your mouth.

guillaume jolicoeur has an interesting illustration style. i really like his self portrait with the octopus. octopus hypnosis, anyone?
