just discovered betsy vanlangen's work and i had had haddddd to share cus its so AWESOME. her portfolio is full of amazing shots. and the aesthetic of her work is so subtly avant garde. lurvez it. i could see her directing a lady gaga shoot that would capture all that lady gaga is w/o looking over-the-top ridiculous... just over-the-top cool. and she would totally rock a g-dragon photo shoot too - tone it down enough to showcase his personality without overpowering it. i think thats what her gift really is ~ she pushes the envelope in the perfect way thats appealing without being chaotic. she can take her concept where it needs to go without bringing it down or weighing it down. simplicity at its best.
