i looked around my room today and found that i was surrounded by tea cups. some half empty, some holding just the dregs of a good cup of tea, and some with only a slight stain of amber liquid coating the bottom. i'm iranian so tea is important... afternoon tea is an important part of the day - a ritual, if you will.
i do love myself a good cuppa tea. it soothes anxieties and thaws distress.
alisha amirkhanian has some beautiful paintings in her portfolio. i particularly love the few that deal with teatime. you can almost hear the women above chattering nonsensically, exchanging the day's gossip in all their fancified-ness.
