sorry for being MIA again! things have been hectic lately, to say the least. i'm having surgery (boo) on the 31st (thursday) so i'll be in the hospital for a couple days. i dont think i wanna take my computer cus i feel like hopkins is dirty and gross and someone will steal it or eat it or something. sooo i'll probably be bored. i think i'm going to take all the harry potter books. and start from the first and make my way through the last. i'm sure i won't finish it all in 2-3 days soo that should keep me busy, yeah?

anyway, after the surgery, i'll be stuck at home for a bit. again, bored. so i'll have lots of time to share the lots of blogging i have for you all. yayyy!

for now though, can i just say.... these FONTFACES are so perfect. i just love that they are literally....font...faces. ahhh! kudos to spanish design firm atipo for the project!

[ busted tees ] there & their & they're & thurr

does it bug you when ppl use the wrong form of there/their/they're? it sometimes bugs me even tho i'm known to slip up in fobby gchat conversations with unnz or dubz. oftentimes, these mistakes are the least of my offenses, as i tend to make up words when talking to either of them.

this shirt will remind you of the three different types of there/their/they're.... plus the most important "thurr" - which i also happen to use in everyday conversation. so thurr.

uhm. i love turn nocturnal's shirts. they're all very graphic-design oriented. and this "huge type looks sweet" shirt is killin' me. i like it in black, but the white looks great too!

[ rapping paper ] eminem - my name is

i have been on a listen-to-kpop-only streak since 2008, when i went to korea for the first time. i wasn't feeling american (or any other) music at the time. and 2008 was a GOLDEN year for kpop. oh man. especially big bang~ they rocked it that year.

but, alas, kpop is in a HUGE funk right now. to be plain, it sucks. 2ne1's new album (and taeyang's) were highlights. but MAN... the direction kpop is going in isn't working too well. and so, i've decided to get back into non-korean musikz. and i must admit, i am feelin' eminem's new single "love the way you lie" f/ rihanna. i donno what about it i like so much, but i dooo!

anywho. this wrapping papper by rapping paper is cracking me UP. i'd probably use it to wrap a present for aluberto oppz, who would probably find it funny? hahaha! the one above is eminem's "my name is" but theres some run dmc and others in the online shop. check it out!

[ john green designs ] hanger

i've been home from korea for 2.5wks and i finally unpacked. but i haven't hung up my need-to-hang-in-the-closet clothes yet. sOo. yeah. unmotivated, i think.

maybe if i had a bunch of these awesome hangers by john green, i'd want to hang up my clothes a lot quicker. although, they aren't sold in bulk or anything haha. but still! they're pretty amazing. from his "designing with waste" category, the hangers are made from the leftover material from making green's rocking stool. noice!

[ ji lee and sue park ] suggu

top to bottom: hey, 저기요! ("hey, there!"); 여보세요 ("hello?")

i love 한글 (hangeul), the korean alphabet. remember when i blogged about the really awesome summer olympic t-shirts from basic house? they used the korean alphabet to draw out various summer sports, like swimming and field hockey. that's so awesome, isn't it? hangeul is supposed to be so easy to learn, you could learn it in one day. maybe it took me a bit longer since i didn't spend 24 hours learning it, but it really wasn't too hard to learn at all! and i think it's such an aesthetic alphabet, too.

i am a huge fan of ji lee's work. i first became interested in his stuff because of his parallel world installation. and i really LOVE the bubble project that he started in 2005. but today i have to focus on this awesomely awesome project called suggu that he worked on with sue park. it's too freakin' cool. here's what he has to say about it:

Suggu ("Mix" in Korean) is a new alphabet mixing Hangul(Korean Alphabet) and Roman Alphabet. Because they are both Phonetic Alphabets—a writing system based on a set of symbols representing different sounds—mixing the two is possible and easy.

[ 6 picks ] actions speak louder than words... but words are pretty loud too

oh how i love and hate words. i am one talkative lass. i dont know why i just referred to myself as a lass. but anyways, i talk a lot. all the time. forever. and ever. and ever. and ever. my mom said when i was little i would just chatter chatter chatter away and half the time (i bet all the time) she didn't even know what i was saying. but she indulged me by pretending to know what was going on - and thus, she aided my growth into a someone who can't shut up.

(ok maybe it's a slight overexaggeration. i can shut up. i mean i don't talk to myself or anything. so if i'm alone i'm quiet. and when i'm sleeping. and yeah ok you get the point. i can be quiet haha.)
